Trips to Wine Country and More!

Welcome to Grape Getaways, offering day trips from New York City to wineries on Long Island, the Hudson Valley, and beyond. We have been offering excursions to wine country since 2004.

Our typical trip includes a prompt morning departure from midtown at 9:30 AM, visits to approximately 3 wineries, and a return back to Manhattan in time for supper at roughly 6:30 pm, depending on traffic. From time to time we also organize weekend trips as well, such as our special "Winter Wine Weekend" held last March. Our goal is to visit a variety of wineries each season - so no single trip is the same.

Each excursion includes round trip transportation, lunch, tours and tastings at the wineries as well as wine appreciation pointers. Time permitting we may also stop at a local farm stand. We try to make our trips fun and informative. Naturally, you will also be able to purchase wine while visiting the wineries. What better way to make new friends while enjoying a trip to the countryside (and of course, you leave the driving to us!)

Now that wine-touring season is upon us we wanted to share with you our scheduled trips. These are still being finalized and will be posted shortly. Please save these dates – we hope you can join us.
  • Sat, July 10th: CT/ Hudson Valley Wine Tour.
    (please note – this tour departs from Greenwich, CT - near Metro North station)
  • Sat, Aug 7th: North Fork, Long Island.
  • Sat, Sept 11th: Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival (midtown Manhattan departure) click here
  • Oct 16-17th: Full Weekend Excursion to Finger Lakes (midtown Manhattan departure)
  • Sat, Oct 23rd: Hudson Valley (West) (midtown Manhattan departure)
  • Sat, Nov 6th: North Fork Long Island (lunch in Greenport) (midtown Manhattan departure)
